RIP Larry Hagman - RIP J.R. Ewing

My world was a brighter place because of him! I grew up watching J.R. Ewing's conniving schemes and womanizing. I loved his evil laugh when he was pulling a fast one. Remember that quote "never say never"? What about: "Anything worth having is worth going for- all the way" ? I certainly do.
According to Larry (or should I say J.R.?): "As J.R., I could get away with anything — bribery, blackmail and adultery. But I got caught by cancer". Too bad, Mister Hagman, you will be greatly missed.  Thank you for the years of entertainment you've given us Larry. May you rest in peace now.

Shortcuts: The Gift of Giving - via "Layaway Angels"

The holiday spirit is gaining momentum because of a movement sweeping the country. Strangers, dubbed “layaway angels,” are spreading acts of kindness, going into stores that offer layaways and paying them off.
Thank you for restoring our faith in human kindness and in what this season is really about.

Happy Thanksgiving America!

Wishing you peace, love and happiness. on Thanksgiving and always!
Have a blessed and... Happy Thanksgiving America!

The Thanksgiving Story:

Most stories of Thanksgiving history start with the harvest celebration of the pilgrims and the Native Americans that took place in the autumn of 1621. Although they did have a three-day feast in celebration of a good harvest, and the local natives did participate, this "first thanksgiving" was not a holiday, simply a gathering. There is little evidence that this feast of thanks led directly to our modern Thanksgiving Day holiday. Thanksgiving can, however, be traced back to 1863 when Pres. Lincoln became the first president to proclaim Thanksgiving Day. The holiday has been a fixture of late November ever since.

Where everybody knew his name-Coach John Wooden

http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/ucla/post/_/id/3105/where-everyone-knew-his-name

"TARZANA, Calif. -- It’s officially referred to as “Table No. 2” by the waitresses at Vip’s Café in Tarzana, Calif. but for as long as they can remember it served as the morning home of their No. 1 customer, John Wooden.

I first saw Wooden sitting at his signature table a decade ago when my parents moved into a fifth floor office unit above the café. I simply thought Wooden, who lived in nearby Encino, was in the mood for some bacon and eggs. Then I saw him the next day and the next day and the next and it became clear Wooden, who was always greeted with a thunderous “Coach!” from the patrons when he walked through the double glass doors, was a regular"

RIP Coach! Go Bruins Go!

Once upon a time in America- Blockbuster

Regele a murit ,traiasca regele!!!Blockbuster in faliment, netflix pe val!
Blockbuster - you had a good run.  Say hello to Circuit City for us.

Pot sa tin filmele cat vreau eu, fara a plati nimik in plus.

The Border:San Diego-Tijuana

Tijuana (zoom)

Intrarea in Mexic in dreapta pozei.

Mexic in stanga,US in dreapta.

Welcome to the Real World!!!!

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this!

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world..

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself..
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up,it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time..
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.
