Free tethering on HTC Amaze 4G

A while ago, after I got my Amaze 4G cell, I tried to use the Bluetooth  HotSpot feature that comes with the phone. But...guess what? T-Mobile blocked the free access, so I was supposed to sign up for a special plan that would have cost me extra $14.99/month. Well, I already have unlimited data on my T-Mobile account so why would I wanna pay extra money just to share data between my devices? That's a no brainer :)
So my dear fellow HTC&T-Mobile &Amaze 4G users, I found An app and I tested it for the last few months. It works good. It's free and very easy to install. Ah and it's called FoxFi!
Look for it in Google Play!
It may work for multiple Android phones, but I wouldn't know for sure! And also I forgot to mention that my OS is updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. No rooting required!

Hope it helps!:)

Welcome, Mike! I would try to uninstall FoxFi and then download it again. Meanwhile, restart your phone! What OS have on your Amaze? And is your phone rooted by any chance? :)

A tip for people using FoxFi on the Amaze 4g.

NOTE: This may work for other devices but I have not tested on any device other than the HTC Amaze 4g.

When you start foxfi if it starts, and then connects for a moment or even just errors out right away. Try deleting any / all saved networks in your wifi. (Settings > Wifi > Long hold saved network > Forget Network)
This resolved the issue of no connection for me. I do have the issue of it giving me an error saying my wifi has been turned off every 45 minutes or so. Does anyone know how to fix that one?
