Deci am avut intalnire cu una. Neagra, buna.

Oracle Academy - visiting LA students
Oracle Academy, the educational arm of one of the world's great software development companies, Oracle Corporation, was visiting my college a week ago.Chris Hollinger, Operations Manager of Oracle Education Initiatives gave a presentation on job readiness to a group of CS majors. His presentation focused on practical advice for students preparing to enter the job market. He emphasized the importance of differentiating one’s self in the cover letter of an application. He encouraged students to be proactive in pursuing opportunities to demonstrate the skills in applying their knowledge to real-world problems that will differentiate them from others in the job market. He also emphasized the impacts of internationalization and outsourcing and the ability to work with team members across cultures and time zones. He concluded his presentation by answering a number of student questions relating to specific job market issues.

Aaaaa, Romania, Transilvania, Vlad the Impaler zice el insufletit..zic eu da, chiar de acolo, in Transilvania is nascut.
Asa ca acum am o noua obligatie cand oi ajunge in tara.

AT&T to Buy T-Mobile USA for About $39B
AT&T Inc said on Sunday it would buy Deutsche Telekom AG's T-Mobile USA, in a $39 billion cash-and-stock transaction that would create a new industry behemoth by combining two of the four largest U.S. wireless carriers.
The purchase price includes a cash payment of $25 billion with the balance to be paid using AT&T common stock. AT&T has the right to increase the cash portion of the purchase price by up to $4.2 billion.
Acum!
But...if you think TMobile's rates will remain low I have a nice bridge to sell you in San Francisco. Cheap! :)
EDIT:T-Mobile issued a statement regarding the acquisition. In the statement they gave a few of the common questions they were asked and answer to them regarding the buy out. You can check it out here:
T-Mobile statement
A couple thoughts -
How could T-Mobile possibly be worth $39 Billion? Deutsche Telekom is only worth $59 Billion and the majority of their value is in Europe (hence the name).
Let's hope that they ditch T-Mobile's crap network, but keep their amazingly customer-friendly policies. They are definitely the nicest phone company by far.

Official: Minuscule Levels of Radiation Have Reached SoCal
Situatia este monitorizata intens(zice EPA).Dar oare cine crede ce spune EPA?:)Plus ca asta suna ceva de genul: "An unknown source quoted an undisclosed level at an unkonwn location at an unknown time".:))))
Ca urmare mi-am luat vineri off.:)) Deocamdata nu am vazut reactii isterice sau ceva diferit in comportamentul oamenilor. Dar sa vedem ce ne va aduce weekend-ul!

LAPD limits impounding of unlicensed drivers' cars via LA Times
Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said the department changed rules for impounding cars of unlicensed drivers at sobriety checkpoints in part because he didn't think it was being done properly.
Previously, LAPD officers at such checkpoints followed stringent protocols that called for them to impound a car whenever the driver was found not to have a valid license, regardless of whether the driver had been drinking. Those rules have drawn the ire of immigration advocacy groups that said they disproportionately targeted undocumented immigrants, who are not able to obtain licenses legally in nearly all U.S. states.
The new LAPD guidelines soften the department's stance somewhat. Police will be required to make an attempt to contact the registered owner of the stopped vehicle. If the owner is a licensed driver and can respond to the checkpoint in "a reasonable period of time," the officers will release the car to him or her. If the owner is unlicensed, officers will permit another person who is a licensed driver to take the car. If no one with a license is available, police will impound a vehicle. In any case, police will issue a citation to the unlicensed driver.
Beck said that since he took over the department more than a year ago, the checkpoint policy had "stuck in my craw as one of the things we weren't doing the right way." Beck said he decided to make the change after immigration rights advocates raised the issue with him anew in meetings this week.
"I'm tired of casting the net so wide," he said. "This is the right thing to do. There is a fairness issue here ... and we're trying to balance the needs of all segments of our community and keep the roads safe."

Accident,extrema urgenta -Modelul american

Cam asa arata locul accidentului :
